Job Description

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Unit: 27 bed rehabilitation unit
Shift: Nights
Experience Required: 2 years (1st time travelers are welcome)
Patient Population: Neuro, ortho, cardiac, cancer, and other patients with complex medical care management.
Additional Requirements:
- Float required
- No call
- Every other weekend required
- Experience with LVAD preferred, but training will be provided

Contract Length

13 weeks

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
State License Verification
NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable

Health Documents Required

Physical Exam within 12 months of start
Fit Test required within 1 year of start
Adult TDAP Vaccine within 10 years of start
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
Drug Testing (Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start)
Vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
Seasonal Flu Vaccination/Documentation
COVID-19 Vaccination (Dose 1 and Dose 2 if applicable)

Background and History Checks

7 Year Background Check within 1 year of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM check required upon hire
HHS/OIG check required upon hire
References (2 Professional References for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care)
