Job Description
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Unit: 27 bed rehabilitation unit
- Shift: Nights
- Experience Required: 2 years (1st time travelers are welcome)
- Patient Population: Neuro, ortho, cardiac, cancer, and other patients with complex medical care management.
- Additional Requirements:
- Float required
- No call
- Every other weekend required
- Experience with LVAD preferred, but training will be provided
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
- HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State License Verification
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable
Health Documents Required
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Test required within 1 year of start
- Adult TDAP Vaccine within 10 years of start
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
- Drug Testing (Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start)
- Vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination/Documentation
- COVID-19 Vaccination (Dose 1 and Dose 2 if applicable)
Background and History Checks
- 7 Year Background Check within 1 year of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check required upon hire
- HHS/OIG check required upon hire
- References (2 Professional References for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care)
