- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: RRT - ECMO Specialist
- Shift: 4x12 Day/Night (0630 – 1900 or 1830 – 0700)
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years as RRT
- Minimum 1 year as ECMO Specialist (first-timers accepted with at least 1 year ECMO specialist experience)
- Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend
- On-call Requirement: Yes, as needed for the department
- Floating: Will float as needed within scope to meet facility needs
- Local Candidates: Not accepted; must live more than 100 miles from the facility
- Pending License: Accepted, but must be active at the start
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- State License (Minnesota)

- Work Setting Experience: Adult Critical Care
- Airway Management Skills:
- Endotracheal tube/suctioning
- Extubation
- Intubation Assist
- Nasal airway placement/suctioning
- Oral airway placement/suctioning
- Tracheostomy/suctioning
- Patient Care Experience:
- ARDS
- Aspiration
- Bronchoscopy
- COVID
- ECMO
- Fresh tracheostomy
- Pneumonia
- Medication Administration Skills:
- Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex
- Ventilator Management Skills:
- BiPAP, CPAP, Patient Transport, SIMV, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Professional Knowledge: ABG interpretation, Chest Physiotherapy, Drawing arterial blood gases
