Job Overview: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location

City: Thousand Oaks, California
Facility: Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center SCA
Hospital System: HCA Healthcare (Parent)

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 3 Cath/EP/Hybrid/Structural Heart rooms
Number of Staff: 3 per room (RNs and Rad Techs)
Patient Ratios: 3 per case
Type of Equipment: GE and Philips labs, Mac Lab/Cardiolab
EMR: Meditech

Shift Information

Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Night Shift: On call only
Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend/month
On Call: 1 night call per week (3:30 PM - )

Required Skills

Must Have

Cath Lab Circulating (RN)
Scrub experience as a Rad Tech

Preferred

Mac Lab/Cardiolab experience

Typical Procedures Performed

Left/Right heart caths, angioplasty/stent; IVUS, ICE, atherectomy
Atrial Fib Ablations, Micra’s ICDs, PM, Lead extraction
Structural Heart: TAVR, TMVR, Tricuspid, LAAC (Watchman) PFO/ASD

Required Certifications

Registered Nurse License for Circulator role
Registered Radiologic Technologist License, Fluoroscopy permit

Additional Information

Floating Area: Registered Nurse may assist in the Pre/Post care area called Cardiovascular Observation Unit
Dress Code: May wear own scrubs or use the blue hospital scrubs
