Job Description

• Position: Physical Therapy Assistant
• Schedule: 5x8 days
• Daily Patient Load: 10-12
• Call/Float: No
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in acute care

Facility Details

• Type: 50-bed hospital with a census of approximately 360
• Trauma Level: 3
• Services Provided:

  • Orthopedics
  • Neurology
  • Oncology
  • Post-operative care (back, neck)
  • Basic medical-surgical and ICU care
• Staffing:

  • 8-10 Physical Therapists (PTs) per day
  • 6-8 Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) per day
• Collaboration: Work closely with Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy (ST), and case management teams.

Additional Requirements

• Distance Requirement: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Documentation:

  • I-9 form
  • Driver's License/State ID
  • E-Verify
  • ACLS (as applicable)
  • PALS (as applicable)
  • NRP (as applicable)
  • Background check
  • Health documents (e.g., TB test, vaccinations)
