Job Opportunity: Pathology Assistant
Overview
- Specialty: Pathology Assistant
- Location: Louisville, Kentucky
- Facility: Norton CPA Lab, part of Norton Healthcare
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- On-call: No call, no autopsy
- Floating: Must be willing to float between local facilities as needed
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in health sciences
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant health sciences role
- Certification: PA (ASCP) required
Required Credentials
- License/Certificate Verification: Current state or compact license and Primary Source Verification completed prior to start.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required; provide vaccination card with submission. Declinations accepted for medical or religious reasons.
- MMR: Documentation of 2 MMRs at least 28 days apart and/or positive laboratory titer.
- Fit Test: Completed onsite and annually.
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of Hep B vaccinations (series of 3) and/or positive laboratory titer or signed declination.
- Influenza Vaccine: Status required; declination reviewed for religious or medical exemption only.
- TB Test: 2 negative TB skin tests (1 within 90 days and 1 within 365 days of start) or Quantiferon Gold within 90 days, updated annually.
- Varicella: Documentation of 2 doses of varicella 4 weeks apart and/or positive laboratory titer.
- Tdap: Proof of having received vaccine.
- Physical/Health Statement: Written statement confirming physical capability to perform job functions, completed within one year prior to assignment.
- Norton Profile: Full work experience with references from previous managers.
- Norton Specialty Exam: Passing score of 80% or higher, updated every 3 years.
- Norton Skills Checklist: Completed prior to start, updated annually.
- Norton Drug Screen: Standard 10 panel drug screen, completed within 12 months before start and updated annually.
- Norton References and Employment Verification: Completed prior to start, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years.
- Norton Background Check: Comprehensive background check completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Norton Candidate Affirmation: Completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
- Norton Employment Eligibility: E-Verify and supporting documentation completed prior to start.
- Norton I-9: Completed with supporting documentation prior to start.
- Norton Job Description: Must align with Norton's job description.
- Norton Joint Commission and Regulatory Standards: Workplace Safety Module completed prior to start and updated annually.
- Norton KY TB Risk Assessment Form: Completed 90 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Norton Work History Form: Facility Form must be completed.
- Norton Adult Caregiver Misconduct Registry: Registry check for specified settings, updated every 3 years.
- Norton Exclusion Search: Completed internally.
Additional Information
- Candidates must have the required licensure to work in Kentucky.
- All documentation must be completed prior to the start date.
