Job Overview for Healthcare Recruiters and Workers

Facility Information

  • Hospital System: Centra Health Inc
  • Facility: Centra Lynchburg General Hospital

Position Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Position Type: IMU RN (Intensive Medical Unit Registered Nurse)
  • Patient Population:
    • Mix of med-surg, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients
    • Neuro patients
    • CVA patients

Schedule

  • Shift: 12-hour night assignments
  • Orientation: Every other week on Mondays
  • Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per month based on unit need
  • Start Dates: 3/24 & 4/7

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years in relevant specialty
    • Travel experience required
    • Charge experience preferred
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • Licensure:
    • Active VA / Compact License required at time of submission
  • Technology: Cerner experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Local Candidates: Locals within 60 miles are not accepted
  • Cancellation Policy: Client can cancel up to 36 hours per assignment due to census
  • COVID/Flu Policy: Centra accepts approved declinations for Covid/Flu
  • Teaching Hospital: Expect to work with and support students and new hires

  • All RTO (Request Time Off) must be included in the submission packet.
