Job Description

Required Experience

• Minimum: 2 years of acute care RN experience

Required Education

• Minimum: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Certification

Required Skills

• IV insertion
• Blood draws
• PICC/Central Line management
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Trach Care (occasional)
• Epidural/PCA pump management
• Feeding tubes
• Continuous bladder irrigation
• Chemotherapy administration (requires certification)
• Wound vac management
• Blood administration

Additional Information

Credentialing Requirements

• Current BLS card from an acceptable agency
• Nursys Report (prefer Compact Nursing License)
• Current state or compact license with Primary Source Verification
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations accepted for medical or religious reasons)
• Documentation of 2 MMRs or positive laboratory titer
• Fit Test (completed annually)
• Hepatitis B vaccination documentation or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine status required (declination reviewed for religious or medical exemption)
• TB Test: 2 negative skin tests or Quantiferon Gold within 90 days
• Documentation of 2 doses of varicella or positive laboratory titer
• Proof of Tdap vaccination
• Physical/Health Statement confirming capability to perform job functions
• Background check and employment verification required

Testing and Assessments

• Norton Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening
• Norton Basic Med Assessment Exam
• Norton Specialty Exam (passing score of 80% or higher, updated every 3 years)
• Norton Skills Checklist (completed prior to start)
• Standard 10 panel drug screen (completed within 12 months before start)

Other Requirements

• Complete Norton Work History Form
• Complete Norton Candidate Affirmation
• E-Verify and I-9 documentation completed prior to start
• Workplace Safety Module (completed prior to start and updated annually)
