Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

  • Total Staffed Beds: 748
  • Unit Beds: 22
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Charting System: Cerner
  • Parking: On-campus parking available

Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 3x12 Night (19:00-07:30)
  • Rotating Shifts: 7:00-19:30 / 19:00-07:30
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
  • Holiday Requirement: As needed
  • Float Requirement: Required to float to other units within level of acuity

Start Dates

  • Available Start Dates: March 17, March 31

Job Description

  • Unit: 2NE CCU CVICU
  • Experience Required:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience
    • Experience with conscious sedation and vents
    • First-time travelers accepted with adequate experience

Requirements

  • Licensure:
    • DC RN Licensure (Pending DC license accepted but must have license prior to start date)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Additional certifications may be required based on unit description

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Flu Vaccination: Required for all travelers
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (Dose 1 and fully vaccinated)
  • Physical Exam: Required prior to start
  • Drug Screen: Required within 90 days of start (excludes marijuana)
  • Background Check: Required within 90 days of start

Additional Information

  • References: Two positive supervisory references required
  • Work History Verification: Minimum of two years of experience required
  • Education Verification: Highest level degree as required by the position
