Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech

- Description:
- Advocate Trinity Cath/EP/IR
- Approximate 205 licensed beds; no trauma designation.
- Level II NICU.
- Blended Lab with 1 Lab, 3 pre and 3 post recovery bays.
- Capable of performing simple procedures in bay areas.
- Utilizes EPIC charting and CV PACS.

- Phillip C-arm
- Volcano
- Shock Wave
- Phillips Asurion X-ray
Procedures
IR Procedures:
- Thoracentesis
- Paracentesis
- Embolization (UFE)
- IVC filter placement
- SVC repair
- Line placement (PICC, various central lines)
- Assist with CT biopsies
- Fistulas
- Needle aspirations
- Shock wave lithotripsy
- Progressive vascular limb program for lower extremity PAD
Cath Lab Procedures:
- STEMI
- IABP
- Stage PCI
EP Procedures:
- Generator exchange (dual, single, leadless)
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of IR Tech experience
- Experience in Cath Lab and IR procedures
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active IL license (IEMA)
- Active BLS (AHA)
- ARRT (IR)
- CCI
Skills
- Proficient in sterile technique
- Ability to function well in a team
- Strong communication skills, especially with physicians
- Knowledgeable in aseptic technique
- Aware of radiation safety
- Ability to anticipate physician’s needs
Preferences
- Highly prefer candidates with CBT certification (not required)
