• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3 x 12 hours (Day/Night Variable, 36 hours/week) - 50/50 split (3 days, 3 nights within a 6-week period)
• On Call/Weekend Requirement: No call requirements; weekends included in rotation; holiday coverage expected.
• Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Job Description

• Position: 2NW CVICU RN
• Unit Ratio: 1:2
• Total Staffed Beds: 748
• Charting System: Cerner
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care; Teaching Hospital (Top 50 heart and vascular centers in the country)

Requirements

• Licensure: DC RN Licensure (Pending DC license accepted but must have license prior to start date)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry, vents, and high acuity units required.
  • 1 prior travel assignment completed (first-time travelers will be screened).
  • Pulmonary Artery Line experience preferred.
  • Level 1 trauma and post-op experience preferred.

Additional Information

• Health Documents:

  • Annual physical exam stating the candidate is able to perform work without accommodations and is free from communicable diseases.
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually.
  • Vaccinations required (e.g., Flu, COVID-19, TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella).
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excludes marijuana).

• Background Check: Required within 90 days of start, including criminal background check and education verification.

• References: Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment.

• Work History Verification: Minimum of two years of experience required, with at least one travel assignment completed.

This position may involve contact with COVID-19 patients.
