Description
Job Opportunity: Special Procedures Tech
Location
- State: Florida
- City: Miami
- Facility: HCA Florida Kendall Hospital
Employment Type

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: IR – Special Procedures
- Number of Labs: 5
- Staffing: 1-2 RNs + 1-2 Techs per case, depending on complexity
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 in holding, depending on acuity
- Type of Equipment: GE Imaging
- Documentation System: MacLab and Meditech
- Call Requirements: Four ten-hour shifts per week, with a monthly call shift burden goal of <15. Must arrive in less than 30 minutes when called in.
Typical Hiring Profile
Required Qualifications
- RN, ACLS, BLS
- RCIS or any procedural/cardiology-centered certification
- Vascular IR procedural experience
- Knowledge of Cath Lab/IR protocols and procedures
- Neuro-interventional experience
- High-level communication skills
Typical Procedures Performed
- Full scope of Interventional Radiology procedures, including:
- Structural (TAVR, Mitra Clip)
- Carotid stenting
- Peripheral arterial cases
- Lumbar punctures
Additional Preferences
- CVT, ARRT, RCIS
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced unit
- Ability to function well independently
Dress Code
- Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs (provided by the unit)
