  • Registered Nurse (RN) position at Glens Falls Hospital
  • Temporary employment
  • Average daily census: 20 patients
  • RN to patient ratio: 1:9 (depending on census)
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Average stay length: 5-7 days
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color - No designs or cartoons. No hoodies.
    Job requirements
  • New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required
  • Minimum 2+ years of Behavioral Health Unit experience - Required
  • Experience with Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Patients - Required
  • Recent travel experience
  • Experience with de-escalation of agitated patients
  • Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle - firm requirement
  • Clinician MUST be reliable! No attendance concerns, call outs, etc.
  • Work History
  • Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
  • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (Current Nursys, BLS and CPI)
  • Permanent address must be included in profile. Address must match Driver License/State ID.
    Schedule information
  • Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload.
  • NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).
  • Must cover either Christmas or New Years holidays if needed, cannot ask for both off.
    Unit specific information
  • Average daily census: 20 patients
  • RN to patient ratio: 1:9 (depending on census)
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Average stay length: 5-7 days
  • EMR: EPIC
    Additional Details
  • COVID vaccinations not required, however strongly encouraged.
  • De-Escalation Training of any kind, CPI or NAPPI/Welle Certifications - REQUIRED
  • Travelers from specific counties in New York will not be considered for travel assignments at Glens Falls.
