Job Opportunity: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Position Summary

• Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging
• Location: Bangor, Maine
• Facility: St Joseph Healthcare
• Employment Type: Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

• Utilize all radiographic equipment to perform x-rays, including surgical and portable equipment.
• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis.
• Use Vitrea 3D post-processing workstation and power injector.
• Ensure high-quality imaging for Radiologist interpretation.
• Understand PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and its functions.
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) techniques.
• Document patient care services in patient and hospital records.
• Interact compassionately and effectively with patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree (2 Year College)
• Licenses:

  • ARRT Certified Radiography
  • State of Maine Radiography
  • ARRT CT certification preferred

Additional Information

• Travelers must reside outside the state of Maine.
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• St. Joseph's can cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
