Registered Nurse (RN) Ferris Care Center (in-patient hospice unit) Full-time 3-12hr shifts - 7pm-7am
At HopeWest, you get to be the nurse you always dreamed of being! You will be one of those people patients and families call angels, providing compassionate care, strength and courage.
In addition to having strong clinical skills, Hospice Nurses are teachers helping patients identify their own personal goals of care and helping caregivers have confidence in caring for their family member.
They are generalists on all diseases and specialists in symptom management, requiring excellence in assessment and critical thinking.
The Ferris Care Center (FCC) team provides short-term care in a home-like setting where friends and family can be present during the most difficult times.

Job requirements

RNs with a minimum of one year acute care experience in medical/surgical, ICU, ER or other acute care health setting experience.
RNs with strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment.

Schedule information

This full-time role of 3-12hr shifts on night shift (7pm-7am) - with an on-call requirement of 2 shifts/month.
There is flexibility in arranging your schedule, which provides a work/life balance allowing time for personal needs.

Unit specific information

The FCC focuses on intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who can no longer be at home but would rather not be hospitalized.
The approach to care includes comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support.

Additional Details

Participates in the on-call, holiday, weekend, and after-hours rotation.
