- Registered Nurse (RN) Ferris Care Center (in-patient hospice unit) Full-time 3-12hr shifts - 7pm-7am

- In addition to having strong clinical skills, Hospice Nurses are teachers helping patients identify their own personal goals of care and helping caregivers have confidence in caring for their family member.
- They are generalists on all diseases and specialists in symptom management, requiring excellence in assessment and critical thinking.
- The Ferris Care Center (FCC) team provides short-term care in a home-like setting where friends and family can be present during the most difficult times.
Job details
- RNs with a minimum of one year acute care experience in medical/surgical, ICU, ER or other acute care health setting experience.
- RNs with strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment.
Job requirements
- This full-time role of 3-12hr shifts on night shift (7pm-7am) - with an on-call requirement of 2 shifts/month.
- There is flexibility in arranging your schedule, which provides a work/life balance allowing time for personal needs.
Schedule information
- The FCC focuses on intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who can no longer be at home but would rather not be hospitalized.
- The approach to care includes comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support.
Unit specific information
- Participates in the on-call, holiday, weekend, and after-hours rotation.
