Weekend rotation: every other
Can try to accommodate block scheduling, but not guaranteed

Unit specific information

Support on the Unit: Charge nurse, takes a patient assignment (3 pts-Day shift, 5 pts-Night shift)
Unit secretary, 0500-0130
Hospitalist, 24/7
RT, 24/7
Centralized telemetry monitoring, with no tele tech
Phlebotomy to assist with peripheral blood draws
Charting System/Equipment: EPIC - preferred, Alaris, Pyxis, GE monitors
Floating: all other MedSurg areas
ED Holding – 1:4 ratio
Travelers 1st to float

Additional Details

Experience: RN: 2 years preferred - 1 year with strong skills
First-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types: General Med/Surg population: COVID, wound care, COPD, CHF, diabetes, chest tubes, no peds
Patient Ratios: RN: Days: 3-5, Nights: 6-8; Tech: Days: 6-8, Nights: 6-8
Orientation: 1-2 shifts based on comfort
On Call: none
Scrub Color: Any - no camo/denim
Must document pain level before and after giving pain medications
