Job details

Occupational Therapist Home Health in Newton, Massachusetts at the Mass General Brigham Home Care. Provide occupational therapy services to patients ranging from birth to over 100 years. Collaborate with allied health professionals, manage resources, develop patient-focused care plans, and adapt to changing situations.

Job requirements

Two years experience in acute care, rehab, or homecare as an Occupational Therapist
Registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts
Ability to work with computer software and hand-held patient care devices
Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills

Schedule information

Travel within geographic area required
Manage patient caseloads and comply with visit schedules
Schedule consistent with Managed Care authorizations

Unit specific information

Daily documentation in computerized system
Develop standardized interventions for goal-oriented outcomes
Reassess treatment plans every 2 weeks
Utilize OTAs, manage caseloads, and ensure compliance with visit schedules
Conduct supervision of Home Health aides according to agency and state guidelines
Mandatory training and staff meeting attendance

Additional Details

Experience in documentation and interdisciplinary communication
Clinical evaluations to reflect patient history and appropriate tests and measures
A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series, MMR, and Influenza vaccines are required
Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations
