    Certification details
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIH Stroke Certification preferred
    Job details
  • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities. The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
  • Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule.
  • These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline.
    Job requirements
  • MS Tele Oncology: 3x12 or 4x12 OK.
  • MIXED ACUITY UNIT: ALL TRAVELERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK WITH MEDSURG PATIENTS.
  • Years of experience REQ: 18 months.
  • Weekend REQ: Every other.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Various options for 36 to 48 hours per workweek.
    Schedule information
  • Ratios:1:5-6; PCU 1:3-4.
  • Is on-call REQ? No.
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? To be discussed.
  • RTO Restrictions: Must work 2/3 major holidays.
    Unit specific information
  • Unit Information: Medical PCU Oncology and Stroke Unit; Mixed Acuity Unit - Medical patients with some PCU level of care patients.
    Additional Details
  • Special Requirements: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, accessing ports, starting IVs.
  • PREFERRED EXP: neuro and oncology experience; Central Line Care/Management; monitoring chemotherapy.
