Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to respond to emergent situations, and a commitment to teamwork. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a 4:1 patient ratio while utilizing advanced medical equipment.

Minimum Requirements – Candidates without these qualifications will not be considered:

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHHS)

Preferred Qualifications – Candidates with these skills will be prioritized:

Certifications:

CATN (Certified Acute/Critical Transport Nurse)

TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation)

TCCN (Trauma Certified Critical Nurse)

Typical Procedures Performed on the Unit:

Emergent chest tube placement

Midline or PICC line insertion

Emergent bedside bronchoscopy

Equipment Used:

Bedside monitors

Glucometers

Dopplers

Standing scales

Wheelchairs

Hoyer lift

Patient Ratios:

4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
