**ALL RTO needs to be in at the time of submission. NO RTO will be approved after candidate is presented to facility.
REQUIRED:
1) A minimum of 5 years of L&D experience (outside of their training).
2) Must have traveling experience (minimum 3 travel assignments).
3) Comfortable with EPIC charting.
4) Comfortable with circulating in the OR (and it’s a bonus if they can Scrub but not necessary).
5) Experience with LDRP and MBC.

# of L&D Beds 13 beds between L&D, Postpartum, and Recovery - avg census fluctuates
# of births per day, per year 100 deliveries per month
Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? Yes
Required Certifications "BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced fetal monitoring
STABLE would be a plus"
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Level 1 birthing center, 32 weeks and greater, twin deliveries, high risk patients get sent out
Experience or 'Must have' skills "REQUIRED:
1) A minimum of 5 years of L&D experience (outside of their training).
2) Must have traveling experience (minimum 3 travel assignments).
3) Must be comfortable with EPIC charting.
4) Must be comfortable with circulating in the OR (bonus if they can Scrub).

Common titratable &/or set rate drips mag, pit, insulin
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Yes - they do not take patient assignment the majority of the time. Unit also has an admit/triage/resource nurse at times.
Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? No
OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? Neonatologist available but not in house- call response time for neonataligist 30 mins. OB hospitalist program: someone is in house 85% of the time but not 24/7. available within 30 mins on call
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? no cardiac tele
EFM System Philips
Shifts & Scheduling 12Hr shifts, 7-7, travelers are to fill in holes , no block scheduling
Weekend Requirement Need to be available to work weekends when needed, may be every other
Holiday Requirement Traveler should expect to assist with holidays
Is there a call or standby requirement? may be put on call for low census shifts. Travelers may be cancelled for certain number of shifts per the terms of their contract.
Floating Requirements Will be required to work L&D, PP, PACU (only recovering mothers), & to circulate in the OR throughout their assignment & shift, may float to mother baby overflow unit , no post-op GYN on postpartum side.could be floated to be a sitter if needed. Must have strong skills in all areas of LDRP and be willing and engaged to go to either side.
Scrub Color/Dress code Provided
Unit/Department specific orientation 3 shifts
Additional Notes Must be able to run on own with limited staff, must be confident, competent, professional, & quick on feet. Do not have midwives or midlevels so must be able to manage entire labor process. Managers expect people to be working and finding things to do during downtime.Patient population has high expectations for customer service.

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
