General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS, CA License required
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT-CT, strong preference for CA fluoro license, venipuncture license preferred but not required

Will they have to float/cover any other areas? general xray at times
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties Will primarily work in the ER
Experience or 'Must have' skills Fluoro experience strongly preferred, venipuncture license strongly preferred, Siemens experience strongly preferred as they are moving to 100% Siemens equipment, ER experience strongly preferred
Average # of scans/studies per day
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EMR - Epic
Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) Siemens & GE
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Yes
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No
Radiologist in-house? Yes
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Preferred

Evening shifts: 2PM-10PM

Department specific orientation "Travelers will complete a packet for orientation. Orientation documents are completed through the employee internet.
Department specific orientation in the department. Amount of orientation depends on experience. Typically between 3 - 6 shifts. Will only train at the hospital. Not off-site. Manager is willing to tailor orientation depending on experience. "
Additional Notes Candidates must be professional, clean, & neat. Department is very structured. The clientele at CHOMP is very unique. All candidates must be 100% patient focused & very customer service oriented. Professional, empathetic, & positive attitudes are a must.

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
