Description
Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16.
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year Experience in MedSurg
Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience)
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro EXPERIENCE
Certs: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required)
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Certs: ACLS
JOB DETAILS:
RATIOS: 1:5-6
Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
36-48 hrs can be offered. NO OT will be offered until after 48hrs is reached.
SHIFT: 12HR DAYS
Travelers are required to work every other weekend
***RTO -7 DAYS MAX*** if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up for those dates.
Float Requirement: Floating Required: floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units. If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit. Frequent floating may be required.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: We have a 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4:1
42 daily census. 43 rooms/beds
UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Preferred Scheduling
*If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract.
UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 Hours
SCRUBS: Navy

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
