REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years experience required, more than 1yr recent CVICU experience
Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first time travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Does not accept candidates within 50 miles of facility
Skills: Care of Ventilated Patient, Procedural Sedation Administration, Continuous IV sedation, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Management of dysrhythmias, Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Certs: BCLS, ACLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: CCRN, open heart training preferred

JOB DETAILS:
Beds: 20
Shift: 48hr Nights 18:45-07:15
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: must be flexible to float where need, could include ICU, MS, Tele & ER
Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule block

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: 8 beds are CICU & 12 beds are Step-Down; CICU: Post-op CABG post-op AVR, MVR, post-op vascular and endovascular surgery, post cardiac interventional service including ECMO, heart failure requiring Impella device support, angioplasty and stent placement.
PCU: Includes the above diagnoses plus sepsis, respiratory and multi-system failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, encephalopathy & post-op general surgical patients requiring a higher level of care.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Unit Based Educator available M-F and PRN

Impella, Balloon pump and ECMO/Tandem Heart

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit to stand lifts, extensive amount of safe-patient handling equipment.

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
