Hospital: Methodist Metropolitan Hospital Location: San Antonio, TX Unit: PCU (629) Classification: RN - PCU Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A Building/Floor/Suite information of unit: NEW UNIT / OPENING 4/2020 General Information Shift Details- Please correct information below if needed: Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A Weekend – Rotation weekends Call Requirements: No Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hrs. Special Skills/Experience required: 2 Years + ***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy*** Unit Specifics - Information below is requested for better sourcing: Patient Ratios: 3:1 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries, free Charge Nurse) : Type of equipment : Common to ICU Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: 36 hours per week – 3 – 12 hour shifts with alternating weekends. Floating policy: As needed Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role) NIH REQUIRED BLS ACLS 2+ YEARS OF HOSP EXPERIENCE Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed : (candidates with these skills will be considered first) MEDITECH EXPERIENCE PREFERRED Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN) Active TX Rn License- Temp License will NOT be accepted Procedures performed on unit: Peripheral IV start Foley, NGT insertions Charting with Meditech Monitor cardiac Cardiac and some hemodynamic monitoring, Endo Tool Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color o RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
