12 hour days - 36hrs
Orientation dates: 12/3 or 12/17 (DECEMBER START ONLY - need is dire!)
13 Weeks Bill Rate: $75.00 (50 mile radius, if local bill rate is $65) REQUIRED!!!

Years of experience : 2+ ; BLS and Surg Tech Cert PREFERRED Prev travel exp Pt population : OB (pregnant or newly delivered patients) Scrub Cesarean sections, D & C, occasional cerclage. Stock rooms, set up/tear down delivery tables.

Advanced Practice on the unit: 3 - Nurse Midwives (24 hour in house) Anesthesia & Pediatrician. Neonatologists present 7 days a week, on-call 24 hours/day. OB’s in house – 14hrs / day

Dress Code
Scrubs/color: Hospital provided scrubs, street clothes that come to work in have to be clean & respectful in appearance. Must arrive/leave in street clothes (can’t wear scrubs).
Shoes: Non-skid, closed toe, athletic shoes are ok, must wear heel strap with clogs
Jewelry: Professional, Minimal, No facial piercing other than ears
Hair/Beard: Professional, hair shoulder length and longer must be pulled back, facial hair must be neat and trimmed
Nail Polish: No gels, acrylics, or extensions. All polish must in good condition without chips or cracks

Self-Scheduling No Weekend Requirements: RN will be required to work 4 out of the 8 weekend shifts per schedule. There are not ‘set’ weekends in L&D.

Holiday Requirements: Must be available for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays and 2 out of 3 summer holidays. Winter holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Summer holidays are Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Patient Population (Diagnoses): 20% High Risk – Diabetics, Pre-Eclampsia, Advanced Maternal Age, low incidence of HIV & hard drug abuse. MUST BE competent & comfortable looking after high risk, MgSO4 infusions. IDDM, placenta Previa, maternal cardiac hx, twins, lupus. C-Sections, tubal ligations, D&C, post amnio.
