General Comments: Unit Information: MICU Location: HCA LewisGale Medical Center Address: 1900 Electric Road Salem, VA 24153 Floor : 1 st Floor MICU Building: Main General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – 12 · Number of Staff – 36 · Type of staff: o Day Shift –Director, Manager, Clinical Coordinator, RNs, Externs, Paramedic o Night Shift – RNs, Extern · Patient Ratios – 2:1, 3:1, 1:1 · Type of equipment – Tablo, Belmont, Baxter Pumps, Codman EVDs, Hillrom Call System, Imobile, Hemosphere · EMR – Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · ACLS, BLS · ICU Experience Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · PALS · NIH · TNCC List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · EVDs · Sled · Central Lines · Para/Thoracentesis · Lumbar Drains · TTM Best personality Fit: · Team Focus REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · None Floating Area(s): · Throughout facility Dress Code : · Scrub Color/Attire – Navy Blue Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. · No Block Scheduling/ Set Schedules – Able to accommodate most scheduling needs Weekends and On call (if any): · Every other weekend, no on call

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
