McLaren’s surgical services represent a full spectrum of procedures and tests across various specialties. General elective surgeries as well as critical or life-saving procedures are what we excel at. McLaren was the first to provide many surgical techniques and tools and continues to keep an eye on the future to enhance the care and outcomes for all our surgical patients.

CSTFA

McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional hospital located in Petoskey, Michigan serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences.Further McLaren Specifics:
Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
on bill rates over $40/hr
OT/Holiday/Call back Markups: 1.1x Regular
rates
Extension Discount: $1/hr on the initial
extension.
McLaren's local traveler policy is to reduce
the travel rate by 10%. Anyone with a permanent address within a 35
mile radius of facility is considered a local traveler.
Dress Code: Hospital Provided Scrubs

Professional surgical unit, very friendly, great communication, fair call scheduling, geared for travelers by having a list of everyone's names for charting.
Cons
Twenty minute limit to be there for call, but they have sleeping rooms if neccessary.

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
