Backfill 1006550 -- Travel Rate: $90 -- Radius: $85: 51-100 miles -- Local: $80: 50 miles or less -- Psych RN for Mental Health Unit: 12H Evenings (1), 36H weeks; Must have prior travel experience to submit; BLS required; Must have NYS license or proof in process at time of submittal; Work History needs to be from similar size facility as well as Trauma II or higher.

EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable. Monday to Sunday; Bi-weekly Orientations on Monday. IVS to OFFER; This facility requires ALL work history information (bed count, EMR, Fac type, etc.) to be complete in order to submit. Please ensure all employment gaps over 30 days are explained. Covid and Flu declinations accepted- please have either proof or declinations in packet.

No block schedules for any reason. Public Transportation is NOT accessible in this area, please ensure you have reliable transportation, personal vehicle or rental vehicle are strongly recommended. Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April.

Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols:) Adult Psychiatry Unit (APU) Staffing Levels/Census APU has a maximum of 18 patients, ranging in age from 18 and up. Staffing levels on APU are fairly consistent, assuming we have 12 or more patients, the day and evening shifts will run with four nurses, three MHTs, and one Unit Clerk, and the night shift will run with two nurses, and two MHTs. Role - Be visible and available on the unit to meet patient requests and needs as they arise, helping to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment - Lead therapeutic group activities, including topics such as self-expressive arts and crafts, coping skill building, goal setting, and collaborative recreational groups - Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living, including providing hygiene items and linen for bathing, double-checking meal trays prior to meal times, and assisting patients to wash their personal clothing - Gathering patient vital signs - Participate in verbally de-escalating patients, and responding physically to situations in which verbal de-escalation is insufficient. Dress code: MHT scrub color can be anything but Navy blue.? No jeans, clothing with logos and no hoodies with strings.? No open toe shoes
