General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Nursing care of a general adult ICU patient population.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Pyxis medication system, EPIC EMR
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Minimum 2 years of adult critical care nursing in a Level I to Level II trauma facility ICU.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
ACLS and BLS are required. CCRN, PALS, TNCC preferred.
Shift or schedule requirements.
Shifts are 12-hour shifts from 0 or 1. Weekends are required. No mandatory on-call requirements.
Floating to other units/departments.
May float to the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or other areas, depending on individual skillset and level of experience.
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
Eighteen-bed ICU, Twenty-eight bed IMCU.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
1:1 and 2:1 in ICU, 3:1 to 4:1 in IMCU.
Dress Code:
Scrubs - can be any color but must be clean and tasteful.
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
Orientation to ICU is three 12-hour shifts, orientation to IMCU is one 4-hour shift following successful completion of ICU training.

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
