Description

1. General job duties / types of procedures required:
Responsible for meeting patient priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and /or delegating care and evaluating patient responses and progress toward clinical outcomes. Contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through activities including professional communication and documentation, precepting and/or resourcing of others.
Supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and/or other support staff in the delivery of patient care as described in Nebraska Statute 38.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit/department:
PlumPumps, EPIC

3. Required skills, minimum years of experience, and/or education:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
Minimum of 1 year of PCU experience required in an acute care hospital setting
Rhythm Interpretation

4. Required licensures, certificates/registrations, and/or life support certifications:
Current NE or compact state RN license (as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act)
BLS - AHA
ACLS - AHA

5. Shift or schedule requirements (please include shift times & durations, hours/week, if candidate will ever work alone, call requirements, weekend/holiday requirements, etc.):
1. 36hrs/ week.

6. Floating to other units/departments:
Will float to Med Surg as needed

7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/department:
Hospital consists of 32 inpatient beds. 12 are ICU/PCU and Medsurg overflow, 20 are Medsurg. All beds are located on the same floor.

8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit (nursing only):
1:4

9. Dress Code:
Pewter Grey scrubs. May wear a black jacket. May wear solid grey, white, or black undershirt.

10. Tell us about the unit/department-specific training and orientation program:
Will have general orientation for 1 day, followed by 1 day of EPIC training (unless employed by Bryan within the last 12 months). Will receive 1 shift of orientation prior to regular scheduled shift.

Additional Comments: We are a smaller, newer hospital that is still actively growing!

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
