OPERATING ROOM RN
Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements). *Orientation for this unit will be held bi-weekly on Mondays. i.e. 10/28, 11/11, 11/25, 12/9 etc.
Shift: 3x12 Nights Friday, Saturday & Sundays 1
Ratios: 1:1
Years of Experience REQ: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required. Unit runs 19-20 rooms per day and needs very well-rounded circulators willing to hop in anywhere. Scrub experience is a plus! Very busy ortho trauma and totals service, neuro, ENT, plastics, peds, eyes, general, gen trauma, vascular, endovascular, gyn/uro, robotics (gen/gyn/uro). 1 Year of Epic EMR experience is required. Night shift has minimal support, one RN one CST one Anesthesia tech and one SSA. Must be able to function in all service lines independently.
First-Timers Accepted: Travel experience preferred. Local candidates must have travel experience.
Weekend REQ: TBD
Certs REQ: BLS required. ACLS and PALS strongly preferred.
Is on-call REQ? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No
Open to accommodating block schedule? See shift above
Locals Accepted: Yes, but local candidates must have history of previous travel assignment with no issues.
Pending License Accepted: Yes
RTO Restrictions: There are no identified limitations for RTO, each submission is considered on a case by case basis.
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Busiest Service Lines: Ortho (2 years of exp/level 3 exp - including total joints), Neuro (2 years of exp/level 3 exp - including craniotomies), Gen/Vasc, GYN/Uro, Robotics. RN needs to be comfortable in a level 2 trauma unit.
Any special procedure done on the unit? We perform high acuity ortho, neuro, and general cases at all times of the day as part of our Level 2 Trauma certification. DaVinci Robotics Center of Excellence- 4 actively used robot rooms with one new DaVinci 5.
Common Equipment: Doppler, Ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, Video Systems, Lasers, Various Stapling Systems, Hana and Jackson tables, DaVinci Xi Robots, Neuro Beds with Attachments, Cryoablation
Number of Beds/Cases: 60-70 per day

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
