REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Experience
Traveler Experience: Unit Will Accept 1st Time Travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience & Arterial Line Management
***Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS***
Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

JOB DETAILS:
RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12
SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered
Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15

Float Requirement: YES
Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke Center

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.

UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
