Gogebic Medical Care Facility is a 100 bed Medicare / Medicaid certified nursing facility located in Wakefield, Michigan. In January 2021, our facility earned its fourth deficiency free annual state survey since 2004. Consumer Reports Magazine named our facility as one of Michigan’s Top 15 Nursing Homes.We are proud to offer our residents certified nursing and extensive rehabilitation. We provide an understanding and loving atmosphere for everyone who calls our facility home.Our residents have consistent caregivers who know them well.Our staff-to-resident ratio exceeds state standards.Our home is restraint free.Our facility provides person-centered care for the residents. Per the client specific exhibit; Gogebic reserves the option to charge the agency for failure to notify attendance discrepancies within 2 hours for AM  start of shift and 3 hours for PM start of shift.  Notice of shift cancellation given lesser than the amounts stated are subject to full refund of shift,  No Call No Shows are subject to full refund of shift.  In addition; late arrival of 30 minutes of shift lesser than the amounts stated can carry a 2 hour refund.  Any arrival of 1 or more hours late to a shift is considered a no-arrival.   They need to punch in and they can punch in UP TO 7 minutes early, but they can not punch after the fact or they will be tarty. Also, they can punch out up to 7 minutes after the end of their shift, but at 8 minutes it is considered overtime, and we do not permit overtime for travelers. Gogebic is subject to cancel said shifts for any contractor that is 15+ minutes late for their shift at no cost.  These measures are at discretion of the client.
