Description

Unit: GI; Preop and Phase 2 recovery in GI unit. Predominantly outpatient setting.
Start date: VCH needs the start date listed in the job order. To be considered, please update both the submission packet and the candidate's Lotus Connect profile to match this date
Duration: 13-weeks
Schedule: 4x10s, 0 (no weekends and no call)

Certs Required: BLS, ACLS
Skills Required: IV (Tele preferred)
Experience: 2 years preferred
First time travelers are accepted!

Unit Info,
Traveler will work in Preop and Phase 2 recovery in GI unit. Predominantly outpatient setting. We do care for in hospital patients. Pre op: assessment, vital signs, IV insertion. Phase 2- recovery monitoring vital signs, aldrete, review discharge instructions and remove IV.
Patient Ratio: pre op 1:1 post op 1:3
EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)
Scrubs: Provided
Patient Diagnoses: Screening exams, ERCPs are therapeutic, EUS are diagnostic and therapeutic, Inpatients: GI bleed anemia abd pain etc
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Usual procedures are EGD and Colonoscopy. We also do ERCP and EUS

*Scrubs: Provided
*EPIC: Two-day ad-hoc class

VACCINE INFO:
- The Flu vaccine is required during flu season. (Oct 1st - Mar 31st).
- If your traveler is requesting a religious or medical Flu exemption, it will be the responsibility of the agency to ensure the traveler’s request complies with CMS guidelines. Qualivis will review/approve each request with supporting documentation.

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
