1.Performs chemo, therapeutic treatments and blood transfusions and phlebotomy procedures.2.The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates the care of patients/families and significant others in the ambulatory care setting by assessing, diagnosing, planning and intervening in actual or potential health problems, including evaluation of the patient’s response to the care. These responsibilities also include patient/family/significant other education and health maintenance strategies. The RN is a member of a designated health care team and collaborates, coordinates and guides team members in planning patient care and achieving goals.3.Responsible for all unit enabling operations including patient flow, assignment, ordering and medical record prep. Triage all sick and walk-in patients.4.Responsible for telephone communication, telephone triage, communicate test results in collaboration with provider including appropriate follow-up5.Assist with procedures.6.Administer oral/IM/IV/SQ/Inhaled medications.7.Administer blood and blood products, specific to specialty areas.8.Performs treatments such as: chemotherapy administration, conscious sedation and other procedures specific to specialty practices.
9.Accesses and maintains central lines/ports for blood drawing and medication administration.10.Provides and initiates respiratory interventions according to standards.11.Coordinates delegates and/or provides all other patient care activities.12.Initiates CPR13.Coordinates in-patient admissions and ER referrals.14.Identifies learning family/patient needs, including level of comprehension.15.Informs about treatments, tests, preps, OR procedures.16.Instructs on home and self-care.17.Evaluates client outcomes through return demonstration and/or verbalization of understanding.18.Maintains an environment that is conducive to meeting patient care needs and that facilitates patient flow.19.Promotes and provides for patient safety in accordance with state and federal guidelines.20.Practices and monitors infection control. Maintains a clean, quiet, organized patient care environment21.Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients families and significant others. 22.May be required to perform other duties as assigned or perform other duties when necessary..
Bachelor’s Degree preferredCurrent NY State Registered Nurse License, .Minimum 2 years Medical Oncology Nursing Experience RequiredOncology Nursing Society (ONS) Active Chemotherapy- Biotherapy Provider Card required5.Certification in area of specialty is highly recommended, BCLS, ACLS required

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
