The Orthopaedic Center of Excellence at Methodist West and Iowa Methodist perform more orthopaedic surgeries in Iowa than any other hospital system.The 12-bed maternity center includes private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms, allowing mothers to stay in one room for the duration of their stay. There is also a newborn nursery with one continuing care neonatal bed. Offering experienced staff and 24/7 on-staff neonatal support in partnership with Blank Children's Hospital.Methodist West was the first and only hospital in Central Iowa to employ Patient Care Facilitators.The surgery department contains 14 private, pre-operative rooms, six leading edge operating rooms and an endoscopy suite.
