Rate - $95/hr Looking to start last week of July for 8 week contract ASAP START SHIFT- Nights- 3x12 hrs- w/ EOW as needed & Holidays as needed - FYI FOR NIGHTSHIFT TRAVELERS. With the recent change of our leadership structure, night shifters may need to shift their hours for the “onboarding” .  It may be them doing a 3p-3a shift so that the current clinical coordinators can connect during the daylight hours. ***MUST BE CHEMO CERTIFIED*** *Must be competent in Telemetry *Oncology experience is preferred but not required *Epic experience is needed  *BLS needed *Could come into contact with Covid patients *Will float to other units if needed RN Checklist  *Do not submit local candidates to these travel positions. Contact the PMO team for the local rate first. If candidate accepts the lower local rate, submit the profile which clearly notates candidate is local and aware local rates are lower. *As of 1/5/2022 all travelers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. **Any traveler declining the COVID-19 vaccine, must be approved for a medical/religious exemption by their agency The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Oncology patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. The Registered Nurse will perform many duties, some of which are: Review the patient’s health history Monitor and assess physical and emotional status of patient Record and analyze results of laboratory, imaging studies and pathology Administer medications, fluids, and cancer treatments safely. Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals about the treatment plan Educate the patient and family members about the disease, available treatment plans and possible side effects of the treatments Help interpret and explain to the patient and family members the complex medical terminology and answer their questions. Communicate with the physicians on the patient’s behalf and work as the patient advocate Help the patient plan for and manage symptoms throughout treatments
