20 Bed PCU unit, bedside monitors, good teamwork, dedicated Assistant Nurse Managers # beds/procedures: 20 Patient ratio: 4/1 Does RN need to know how to read tele strips?: Yes Top diagnosis/procedures: Sepsis, Stroke, CHF, COPD Common equipment used: Bedside Monitors, Bladder Scanner, Vien Finder, Interpreter Does RN need to be able to titrate medication?: Some Common medications given: Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodrone Certifications required (ACLS, BLS, NIH, TORBSST, PALS, Stable, TNCC etc) : BLS, ACLS. NIH, TORBSST. Required Skills: • IV insertion • Blood draws • PICC/Central Line management: • Dialysis Fistula: • CPAP/BiPAP • Trach Care • Periotoneal dialysis • Epidural/PCA pump • Feeding tubes • Continuous bladder irrigation • Wound va
