Currently, we’re in need of a Special Education Teacher to work in a school located in Chicago, Illinois.Schools, Case Manager Special Education Teacher Contract Details:

• $44.50-$48 an hour
• Hours: full-time
• Reporting to the School Principal and Director of Specialized Services, the Case Manager / Special Education Teacher plays a critical role in building a rigorous education for students with disabilities that maintains and goes beyond compliance.
• The Case Manager works with the school-based Specialized Services Team to ensure that effective Individualized Education Plans are created and implemented to ensure student achievement.
• The Case Manager serves as a resource for school staff regarding special education best practices, works closely with students and their families to ensure the individual needs of the student are being met, and are responsible for maintaining authentic compliance around State and Federal Law.
• Multicategorical/Crosscategorical, intellectual, learning, and/or emotional disability special education certifications may be accepted

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university related area
• Teaching Certification with Schools, Case Mgr Special Education Endorsement
• Illinois PEL and LBS1 Endorsements required
• Special Education Teaching Endorsement must meet position requirements
• Multicategorical/Crosscategorical, intellectual, learning, and/or emotional disability special education certifications may be accepted
