Supplemental Health Care has partnered with a school district to hire a school nurse to work in Gig Harbor, Washington. As a school professional with SHC, you’ll be supported by our Schools Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals that understand schools and your unique needs as a School-based LPN.1:1 School Nurse Contract Details:
- $41.50- $44.50 an hour
- Schedule follows the school district calendar
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6.5 hours per day (32.5 hours per week)
- Duration: ASAP – June 20, 2025
Position Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LPN/LVN to provide 1:1 nursing support for a student at a High School (9th-12th grade). This role requires expertise in seizure care and other specialized medical needs.
Responsibilities: - Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care to the assigned student.
- Support medical needs, including G-tube care, trach/vent management, diabetic care, and seizure care.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure the student’s health and safety.

- The nurse will be expected to follow medical care plans and medical orders IEP/504 plans, and provide effective and pertinent information to the special education team and student caregivers
- Nurse will be expected to complete daily documentation
- Contract is for the current school year
- LPN will be matched to student based on the nurse’s medical acuity experience

Requirements:
- Washington LPN / LVN License
- American Heart Association BLS
- Prior pediatric or school nursing experience is a plus
- Must be skilled in G-tube, trach, vent care, diabetic care, and seizure management.
