We’re currently hiring in Buffalo, New York to support a district in need of a Registered Nurse to work on a one-to-one basis with a student.1:1 School Classroom Nurse Contract Details:

• $37.50-$40 an hour
• This is a one-to-one nurse position to provide medical care to a student throughout the school day based on the student’s medical diagnosis and care plan
• Hours: Days – 8-hour shifts: Hours will depend on 1:1 assignment, 7:30am-2:30pm, additional hours on bus before and after
• The student needs assistance with Trach Care and other medical needs.
• Nurse will receive all active orders and be oriented to the needs of the student by RN nurse supervisor.
• Contract is for the current school year
• The nurse will be expected to follow medical care plans and medical orders IEP/504 plans and provide effective and pertinent information to the special education team and student caregivers
• Nurse will be expected to complete daily documentation
• RN will be matched to student based on the nurse’s medical acuity experience
• 1:1 school nurse position may include bus runs, field trips, care for students with certain health diagnoses/requirements such as but not limited to behavioral care, seizures, diabetes, allergies, asthma, trach care, vent care, and g-tubes

Requirements:

• New York RN License
• American Heart Association BLS
• Nurse must have recent pediatric experience.
