Job Description:

Supplemental Health Care has partnered with a school district to hire a Special Education Teacher to work in Charleston, South Carolina. As a school professional with SHC, you’ll be supported by our Schools Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals that understand schools and your unique needs as a Special Education Teacher.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Special Education Teacher Contract Details:

  • $39.50 – $42.50 per hour
  • Hours: full-time
  • Multicategorical/Crosscategorical, intellectual, learning, and/or emotional disability special education certifications may be accepted

Possible program/caseload info:

  • Special education teachers needed in early childhood, elementary, middle, high, and alternative schools throughout the district
  • Could be a combination of co-teach and pull-out services
  • Could be low incidence/autism self-contained classroom
  • Could be a behavior support specialist

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university related area
  • Teaching Certification with Autism Spectrum Disorder Special Education Endorsement
  • Special Education Teaching Endorsement must meet position requirements
  • Multicategorical/Crosscategorical, intellectual, learning, and/or emotional disability special education certifications may be accepted
