Description
Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Current certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Washington required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be American Heart Association or Red Cross accredited program.)
Two years' experience teaching adults in an ambulatory setting preferred.
Minimum of three years' experience as an MA or LPN in ambulatory setting required.
Knowledge of adult learning principles, ability to design and develop curriculum, and ability to use the change process appropriately; ability to educate and adapt to various learning styles while using various teaching methodologies.
Understands the importance of using the implementation process for training Clinic Network initiatives, e.g., CPG's, Patient Safety, Quality, National Patient Safety Goals.
Project management, curriculum and/or workflow development and implementation, as well as LEAN experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft tools
Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
Ability to collaborate and work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to travel to various departments/clinics, including off-site locations (Valley clinic/department sites), as needed for training activities, site assessments, educational programs, and consultations.

Essential Responsibilities and Competencies:
Responsible for onboarding and orientation of new clinical employees (medical assistants and LPNs), including the use of systems (i.e., Epic) needed to perform in their role and setting.
Assess learning needs to assist in developing/delivering/implementing training, education, and targeted support to staff as applicable.
Provide for the evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of training resources and facilities as a component of educational activities.
Ensure employee competency through ongoing support, auditing and annual refreshers or remediation activities surrounding identified opportunities for improvement, from initiation through completion, in collaboration with Operations Leadership and Clinical Leadership teams.
Create training documents and materials, partnering with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as appropriate.
Conduct on-site training activities with staff and providers to support clinical operational functions.
Lead and participate in quality efforts to promote clinical safety, standardization, and evidence-based practices within ambulatory clinic network.
Lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and develop strategies, metrics, and processes to improve quality of care and safety.
Assess clinical workflows; identifies and implements best practices that promote standardization throughout the organization.
Assist in the implementation of new systems and workflows by:
Identifying staff training needs and developing content needed for implementation.
Assisting the development or revision of policies and procedures to support implementation.
Collaborate with Clinic Network leaders to facilitate staff training schedules.
