Qualifications
Description
Licensed in WA State as an RN, required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, required.
Minimum two years' experience in wound and skin care, required.
National certification as a wound and skin nurse specialist within one (1) year of hire
CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse) or CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse), preferred
Current BLS certified by the American Heart Association, required.
Able to use word processing, graphic and database computer programs, and email.
Evidence of excellent communication and training skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form in the English language.
Knowledge of billing and coding requirements in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
Document in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Knowledge of quality improvement processes
Experience in nursing leadership and staff consultation.
Experience with evidence-based practice and standards development.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with the physical and emotional development of all ages served.
Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities; meets deadlines and commitments.
Ability to collaborate and work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Serves as consultant to wound ARNP, nursing staff and providers regarding wound, and skin services.
Provides education to staff, patients, and families.
In collaboration with the wound ARNP provide services for patients and families in the area of specialty.
Participant in routine patient care rounds.
Demonstrate continuing clinical competence and confidence in specialty through certification maintenance, continuing education, and work performance.
Consistently demonstrates calm, efficient, and professional demeanor; and is tactful and positive in all interactions.
