We're hiring a Full -Time (0.9 FTE) Nurse Navigator at Cardiothoracic & Vascular Associates Clinic in Boise!
What You Can Expect:
RN Navigator role includes managing the St. Luke’s Lung Cancer Screening Program as well as functioning as a nurse for the Pulmonary Nodule Committee. Day to day responsibilities include:
Managing the WQ for lung cancer screenings and processing the orders which includes reviewing the patient chart, ensuring screening criteria is met, documenting appropriately, and reaching out to providers to confirm screening information as needed.
Working on the lung cancer screening biweekly and monthly reports as appropriate
Managing the referrals to the Pulmonary Nodule Committee and processing accordingly to include speaking with the patients to gather pertinent and documenting appropriately, requesting pertinent imaging, sending a weekly list of referrals to the Pulmonary Nodule Committee.
Facilitating Weekly PNC meeting, creating letters with the recommendations from the Committee and sending them to patients and referring providers
Role will be hybrid model and will begin in the office beyond orientation period.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors of Nursing Degree
- Experience: 2 years's of RN experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Pulmonary, General Thoracic, or Interventional Radiology is a plus
- Knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work independently
