Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute clinics are MAGNET-certified, dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

 

What you can expect from this role

  • Part-time (0.4 FTE): 2 days a week x 8-hour shifts
  • No nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays!
  • Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!
  • Certification pay (ex. OCN)
  • Join the only specialty surgical oncology team in the state of Idaho - we perform in clinic procedures and bladder instilled chemotherapy
  • The clinic houses the only urology navigated biopsy system in Idaho
  • Our team has a great culture and a passion for advancing patient outcomes
  • The Resource RN position learns the different roles within the clinic to assist in the procedure room, assist with Intravesical Chemotherapy treatments, support the primary RN role and triage as needed
  • Variety in your work day!
  • Works closely with the provider during procedures, including cystoscopies, uro nav prostate biopsies, intravesical chemotherapy/biotherapy, etc.

Minimum qualifications for this role

  • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health & Safety Institute
  • Preferred: Urology experience, oncology experience and/or OCN certification
