Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Operating Room

Shift: Variable Mids, 10:45a-9:15p, 12:45p-11:15p, 10x4, 40hrs per week

Length: 26 weeks

Weekend required: 1 per month
On call required: 1/week though it's no usually that often anymore

Requirements:

  • IL License
  • Minimum 3 years' experience required
  • General OR and Trauma experience required
  • Level I trauma experience required
  • Required Bariatric Case Experience: Laparoscopic assisted cases. Required General Surgery Case Experience: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple
  • Required Neurology Case Skills/Experience: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion
  • Required Orthopedic Case Skills/Experience: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures
  • Required Plastic Surgery Case Skills/Experience: Free Flap - Microvascular. Required Transplant Skills/Experience: Organ donation. Required Urology Case Skills/Experience: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy. Required Trauma Case Skills/Experience: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries
  • Required Emergency management Skills/Experience: Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia. Required
  • BLS
  • CNOR preferred
  • Cerner experience preferred

Position / Specialty: Operating roomShift: 10-hour evenings (1045-2115 and 1)23 rooms.Years of experience REQ: Minimum 3 years' experience required.First-timers accepted: No.Weekend REQ: 1 per month.Certs REQ: BLS required. CNOR and CST preferred.Is on-call REQ? Yes- 1/week though it's no usually that often anymoreWill clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Within skill set-rarely happensOpen to accommodating block schedule? No.Locals accepted: No- must live at least 50 miles from facility to apply.Must have active IL license in hand or be in application process to apply.Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.Special Requirements: Will work with all service lines except CV.
