Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - MS/Oncology - 6S Medicine 48's
Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, will consider 36's EOWLength: 13 weeks
Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift
Requirements:

• NC or Compact License
• Minimum 1 Years of Experience
• Experience in an inpatient setting is required
• Skills: Administer chemo
• BLS
• Chemotherapy administration certification
• CPI preferred
• OCN preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Other details:

• Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert
• Locals accepted
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
• Ratios: 1:6-7
• Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location
• COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not Required
• Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound VacCerts: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: CPI. Charge nurse experience, OCN
JOB DETAILS:
***Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration***Target Ratios: 1:6-7Shift:NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!RTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.
