Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - MS / Oncology
Shift: Rotating Mid / 1p-9p and 12p-8:30p, 8x5, 40 hrs per weekLength: 13 weeks
Requirements:
  • DC License
  • Minimum 2 years Experience Required
  • Must have completed 1 travel assignment/ screen if less
  • BLS
  • Radiation Oncology preferred

Nurse Navigator - Radiation Medicine - RN***MUST HAVE DC LICENSE in Hand***
MUST START ON: 10/28SHIFTS:1 and 1 rotating
Local Rate within 50 Miles: See AM
Skills Required : Care and management of ports, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting IVs, Acute Tumor Lysis, Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage, Sepsis, Spinal Cord Compression, Neutropenic precautions, Tracheostomy care/management, External Radiation therapy (Teletherapy), Radiation safety precautions, Wound Care, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy
Skills Preferred: Radiation OncologyCerts Required: BLS
Minimum 2 years Experience RequiredMust have completed 1 travel assignemnt/ screen if less
Office Duty: Chart Preparation, Disability Form , Pharmacy Calls. Telephone triageStarting IV's: AdultsPrimary Diagnoses: Primarily Cancer PatientsSpecial Procedure : Radiation Treatment Center
Patients are reporting Monday-Friday for radiation therapy. The nurse Navigators role is to provide care as needed to patients. The type of care radiation nurses provide: education, skincare/wound care, assessment of radiation toxicity, and social needs. Nursing may be called to assess any signs or symptoms of anything that is concerning and will consult with the proper channels, i.e. attending physician, resident, or emergency services.
