Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Call: depending on shifts uncovered for core staffing. Varies in a 6-week schedule.

Requirements:

• VA License 
• 2+ years experience required
• BCLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
• Community Hospital Experience preferred

Other details:

• Skills: FHM, Triage. Procedures associated with obstetrics such as versions, IOL, cervical ripening, IUFD care and bereavement. OR Cesaran Sections required
• Skills: bCPAP, Scrub preferred
• EMR: Meditech, GE Perinatal Centricity
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
• 50-mile radius required! NO local travelers
• Floating: This is a combined unit that services: L&D (Vaginal & Cesarean), post-partum, antepartum, & Level II nursery. If floated outside of specialty, will be utilized as helping hands using general nursing skills to assist nurses with assigned patients.

Needing RNs for OB unit! 2-yrs experience required.
SCHEDULE• Hours: 3x12s, Nights• Weekends: Every other• Call: depending on shifts uncovered for core staffing. Varies in a 6-week schedule.• Floating: This is a combined unit that services: L&D (Vaginal & Cesarean), post-partum, antepartum, & Level II nursery. If floated outside of specialty, will be utilized as helping hands using general nursing skills to assist nurses with assigned patients.
UNIT INFO:• Procedures associated with obstetrics such as versions, IOL, cervical ripening, IUFD care and bereavement. OR Cesaran Sections• Rooms/beds: 18• Deliveries: ~160-170 per month• Manager will consider first time travelers• EMR: Meditech, GE Perinatal Centricity• Medication system: Omnicell• Communication: SBAR; bedside report• Ratios: per AWHONN standardso 1:1 complication or active laboro 1:3 antepartum stableo 1:1-2 unstable, ill antepartumo 1:3/4 couplet careo 2:1 delivery (1 NRP for baby, 1 for mother)o 1:2-3 NICU level 2 depending on condition.

PATIENT INFO:Combined unit that services: L&D (Vaginal & Cesarean), post-partum, antepartum, & Level II nursery• Level 2 inpatient obstetrical clientelle• Level 2 NICU neonatal clientelle• GYN/Medical overflow• Antepartum patient• Observational triage patients• Mother Baby Couplet Care• Border babies

REQUIRED:• Certs: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate• Skills: FHM, Triage. Procedures associated with obstetrics such as versions, IOL, cervical ripening, IUFD care and bereavement. OR Cesaran Sections• Years of experience: 2+
PREFERRED:• Certs: AWHONN Advanced• Skills: bCPAP, Scrub• Previous charge experience• Meditech experience
