Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARDMS
  • BLS
• Experience:

  • Must have experience in all areas: Vascular, OB/GYN, small parts, abdomen, pediatrics.
  • One year of experience required; first-time travelers are acceptable.
• Licensure:

  • Must have an Illinois license in hand.
• Additional Skills:

  • EPIC experience is mandatory.
  • Preferred travel experience.
• Drivers License: Required for all submissions.

Equipment and Technology

• EMR Systems: Epic, McKesson PACS, Clickview.
• Department Specific Equipment: Siemens, Philips, Parks, Mindray, Samsung.
• Scanners: 13 scanners between hospital and outpatient.

Work Schedule

• Shifts: 8-hour shifts preferred.
• Call Requirements: Weeknight call once per week (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM).
• Weekend Requirements:

  • 2 weekend shifts per month.
  • Friday night shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM).
  • Saturday regular shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
  • Sunday regular shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Holiday Requirements: Work 8 hours and then on call, with an expectation to assist if needed.

Additional Information

• Average Scans/Studies: 10-12 per sonographer in an 8-hour day.
• Floating: May need to float between inpatient, outpatient, and outlying clinics (furthest clinic is 30 minutes from the hospital).
• Radiologist Availability: In-house Monday to Friday until 5 PM, with remote support available.
• IV Starts: Not required.
• Scrub Color: Any professional color except Caribbean or purple; prints are allowed.
• Orientation: 1 week orientation covering inpatient, outpatient, and outlier clinics.

• Local candidates are welcome. If over 50 miles from the facility, standard rates apply; if under 50 miles, the rate is $7.00 less than the posted rate.
